Project Description: ME2110 is a course at Georgia Tech focused on creative decision and design. In this course, teams are tasked with designing, manufacturing, and programming an autonomous robot to perform a series of required tasks to compete amongst their peers at the end of the semester. Linux and Python were used along with a Raspberry Pi and Adafruit Microcontroller to automate the robot. For our design, we utilized self-machined gears and DC motors for movement, 3D printed parts for quick iterations, and actuators to trigger spring-loaded mechanisms. Every year the objectives and themes of the competition change, but the overall concepts and core techniques remain the same to teach engineers about design, communication, and creativity. Attached above is the 2021 Final Competition overview.
